Apple Already Cooking Up iPhone Air 2 for Spring 2027
Bloomberg reports Apple is testing a second-gen iPhone Air with dual cameras and improved battery life.
Apple isn't wasting any time. According to Bloomberg, the company is already testing a second-generation iPhone Air targeting a spring 2027 launch — before most people have even gotten their hands on the first one.
The upgraded model reportedly adds a second rear camera for ultrawide-angle photography, addressing one of the biggest compromises of the original ultra-thin design. Battery life improvements are also on the roadmap.
The moves signal Apple's commitment to making the Air line more than a one-off experiment. The first iPhone Air prioritized thinness above all else, leaving camera and battery specs trailing behind the Pro lineup. Gen two looks like Apple's attempt to close that gap without sacrificing the slim profile.
Spring 2027 is still a ways out, so specs could shift. But the direction is clear: thinner doesn't have to mean lesser.
