Motorola Owns Half the US Foldable Market, Crushing Samsung

Motorola is the undisputed king of foldables in the Americas. According to IDC, the Razr maker commands a staggering 50% of the US foldable market and 55% in Latin America, leaving Samsung and Google fighting over scraps.

Europe tells a different story. Motorola holds just 13% of the foldable market there — a fraction of its dominance elsewhere.

The company isn't slowing down. Beyond its established clamshell Razr lineup, Motorola is preparing to break into book-style foldables later this year. That's a direct shot at Samsung's Galaxy Fold territory.

If Motorola can bring the same aggressive pricing and design that fueled its flip phone dominance, Samsung's grip on the larger foldable form factor could be in serious trouble. The foldable wars just got a lot more interesting.
