Meta Spins Off Supernatural VR Fitness Into Independent Company

Meta cuts Supernatural loose as its own entity called Supernatural Health after previously threatening to kill new content.

Meta Spins Off Supernatural VR Fitness Into Independent Company

Meta is carving out its VR fitness game Supernatural into a standalone company called Supernatural Health. The move comes after Meta previously announced the popular workout app would stop receiving new content — a decision that looked like a death sentence at the time.

Instead of quietly sunsetting the product, Meta chose the spinoff route. Supernatural Health will now operate independently, giving the fitness-focused VR experience a second life outside Meta's sprawling empire.

The pivot is notable. Meta acquired the game as part of its aggressive push into VR, but has been trimming its metaverse ambitions. Spinning off Supernatural rather than shutting it down suggests the product still has enough value — or enough of a user base — to justify its continued existence, just not under Meta's roof.

No financial terms of the spinoff have been disclosed.
