Spotify and Live Nation Team Up to Gate Concert Tickets

New 'Reserved' feature holds back concert tickets for Spotify's biggest superfans based on streaming data.

Spotify and Live Nation Team Up to Gate Concert Tickets

Spotify just carved out a new reason to keep streaming on repeat. The company is partnering with Live Nation to launch Reserved — a feature that sets aside concert tickets exclusively for an artist's most dedicated listeners.

Here's how it works. Spotify will analyze your streaming history and sharing activity to determine if you qualify as a top fan. If you make the cut, you get access to reserved pairs of tickets before the general public.

The feature is rolling out first to Spotify Premium subscribers in the US. No word yet on international expansion.

It's a strategic play that turns passive listening data into a tangible perk — and gives Spotify another lever to justify that Premium subscription. For Live Nation, it's a pipeline to fans who are statistically more likely to actually show up.
