Google Supercharges Flow With Gemini Omni and Custom Tools

Google just gave its Flow product family a serious upgrade. The headline addition: Gemini Omni support, bringing the company's most capable AI model directly into the creative workflow.

Flow and Flow Music are both getting agentic updates — meaning more autonomous, less hand-holding. Users can now build custom tools within the platform, including video resizers and shader generators. That's a notable shift toward letting creators shape their own toolkits rather than waiting on Google to ship features.

Mobile apps are also arriving, untethering Flow from the desktop. Google is calling it the "Omni Flash treatment," which essentially means faster, multimodal AI capabilities baked into the experience.
