ByteDance Takes Seedance 2.0 Global — Minus the US
ByteDance's AI video model Seedance 2.0 goes live for enterprise clients in 100+ countries, but not America.
ByteDance is pushing its AI video generation tech worldwide. The company's cloud computing division has rolled out Seedance 2.0 to enterprise customers across more than 100 countries — with one glaring omission: the United States.
The exclusion stems from ongoing legal disputes that continue to keep ByteDance's ambitions in check stateside. The model first debuted in China back in February before this broader international expansion.
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's play to compete in the increasingly crowded AI video generation space. By targeting enterprise clients globally through its cloud unit, the company is betting big on B2B adoption of generative video tools.
The US absence is notable but unsurprising. ByteDance remains entangled in legal and regulatory battles that show no signs of resolution. For now, the rest of the world gets first dibs.
