Disney+ Launches TikTok-Style Short Video Feed Called Verts
Disney+ rolls out Verts, a short-form video feed featuring clips from its library, now hitting US mobile users.
Disney+ is jumping into the short-form video game. The streaming giant is rolling out Verts — a dedicated feed of bite-sized clips pulled from its movie and TV show catalog — to US users on the mobile app.
First announced back in January, Verts is essentially Disney's answer to the endless vertical scroll that TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels have burned into our brains. The feed serves up curated clips from content already available on the platform.
The rollout is currently limited to US mobile users, with no word yet on when — or if — it hits other markets or platforms.
The move signals Disney+ is betting that snackable content can drive engagement and potentially funnel viewers toward full-length titles. Whether users actually want another short-form feed remains the billion-dollar question.
