Munich's UnternehmerTUM Tops Europe's Startup Hubs Three Years Running

UnternehmerTUM just pulled off a hat trick. The Munich-based startup center has topped the Financial Times ranking of Europe's leading startup hubs for the third straight year — a streak no other institution on the continent can match.

The numbers back it up. Since launching in 2002, UnternehmerTUM has supported more than 1,000 companies. That's over two decades of quietly building one of Europe's most productive startup engines while most of the continent's tech scene obsessed over copying Silicon Valley.

Speaking of which — the center reportedly drew early inspiration from a trip to Stanford University. Turns out you can borrow ideas from the Valley without actually being in it.

Munich continues to cement itself as a serious contender in European tech, with UnternehmerTUM sitting squarely at the center of that story.
