Under the hood, the S26 and S26 Plus pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. Pricing starts at $899 for the S26 and $1,099 for the S26 Plus — that's a $100 bump over last generation for both models.
The price increase is the headline here. In a smartphone market where consumers are already stretching budgets, Samsung is betting its new silicon justifies the extra cost. Whether buyers agree remains to be seen.
