Claude Code Gets Remote Control: Start in Terminal, Run From Phone
Anthropic lets you control Claude Code terminal sessions from your phone or browser while you're away from your desk.
Anthropic just dropped a feature that untethers Claude Code from your desk. Remote Control lets you kick off a coding session in your terminal, then seamlessly pick it up from the Claude mobile app or claude.ai/code.
The setup is straightforward. Claude keeps running on your local machine while you walk away. Need to check progress during a meeting? Pull out your phone. Want to approve a step while grabbing coffee? Open the web app. The session stays live regardless of where you're controlling it from.
It's a smart play for developers who use AI coding assistants but don't want to babysit long-running tasks. Instead of staying glued to a terminal window waiting for Claude to hit a decision point, you carry the session in your pocket.
The feature is rolling out now to Claude Code users.
