Facebook Lets You Animate Your Profile Pic With AI
Meta's latest feature turns static profile photos into waving, hat-wearing animations using AI prompts.
Facebook just dropped a feature that'll make your profile picture a lot less boring. Users can now animate their static profile photos with preset effects or custom AI-generated styles.
The preset options include making your photo wave at friends or slapping a party hat on your head. For the more adventurous, there's a text-based AI prompt system that lets you restyle the image however you describe it.
The same AI treatment extends to Stories and Memories. You can now transform those throwback photos and daily updates with various preset looks or let the AI reinterpret them based on your text instructions.
It's a classic Meta move — taking existing content and letting AI remix it. Whether anyone actually wants their profile pic doing a little dance remains to be seen.
