Plex Triples Lifetime Pass Price to $750 Starting in July

Plex is jacking up its Lifetime Plex Pass from $249.99 to a staggering $749.99 — a 200% price hike.

Hope you already locked in that lifetime deal. Plex just dropped a bombshell on its most loyal users: the Lifetime tier of its Plex Pass subscription is jumping from $249.99 to $749.99 starting in July.

That's a three-fold increase for the one-time purchase that gives users permanent access to Plex's premium features. The $500 price bump is one of the more aggressive moves we've seen from a media platform in recent memory.

Plex Pass Lifetime has long been considered one of the better deals in media server software, giving users access to hardware transcoding, mobile sync, and other premium perks without ongoing payments. At $750, that calculus changes dramatically.

If you've been on the fence, the window to grab it at the current price is closing fast. July is the cutoff.
