The dual-core architecture is notable because quantum error correction remains one of the field's biggest unsolved headaches. Dedicating an entire core to the problem is an unconventional approach that could matter — if the claims hold up.

And that's the catch. As Tom's Hardware noted, the announcement came via Chinese state media. Peer-reviewed papers and independent performance metrics appear to be missing so far. Without published benchmarks or third-party verification, the quantum computing community has little to evaluate beyond the headline claims.
