YouTube Premium Just Got Pricier Across Every US Plan
YouTube hikes Premium prices in the US, bumping individual, family, and Lite plans by up to $4 per month.
YouTube is reaching deeper into American wallets. The platform has raised prices on all its Premium tiers in the US, and nobody's getting spared.
The standard individual plan jumps $2 to $15.99 per month. The family plan takes a bigger hit, climbing $4 to $26.99. Even the budget-friendly Premium Lite tier — the one designed for people who just want fewer ads without the full package — goes up $1 to $8.99.
That family plan increase is the sharpest. Four extra bucks a month adds up to nearly $50 more per year for households splitting the cost.
YouTube has been steadily nudging Premium prices upward, making the ad-supported free tier look increasingly like the default option for cost-conscious viewers. At this rate, ad-free YouTube is becoming a genuine luxury line item.
