NYSE Teams Up With Securitize for 24/7 Tokenized Trading

The New York Stock Exchange is going crypto-native. The iconic exchange announced it's partnering with blockchain firm Securitize to build what they're calling the Digital Trading Platform — an alternative trading system designed to let investors buy and sell tokenized versions of stocks and ETFs around the clock.

The concept is straightforward: traditional equities get represented as digital tokens, enabling 24/7 trading that isn't bound by the NYSE's usual market hours. It's a significant nod from Wall Street's most storied institution toward blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

Securitize, which specializes in tokenizing real-world assets, gets a massive credibility boost from the partnership. For the NYSE, it's a hedge against a future where tokenized securities become the norm rather than a novelty.

No word yet on a launch timeline, but the signal is clear: traditional finance is done watching from the sidelines.
