DHL Building 10 Massive Warehouses to Feed Data Center Boom
DHL Supply Chain is opening 7M+ sq ft of warehouse space across North America dedicated to data center logistics.
DHL Supply Chain is going all-in on the data center gold rush. The DHL Group unit plans to open 10 warehouses across North America in 2026, totaling more than 7 million square feet of dedicated logistics space.
The target customers: hyperscale data center operators and their component suppliers. As cloud giants race to build out AI and compute infrastructure at breakneck speed, the supply chain behind those facilities is becoming a massive business opportunity in its own right.
DHL is essentially betting that the explosive demand for data centers will create an equally explosive demand for warehousing, staging, and distribution of servers, networking gear, and other hardware. Seven million square feet is no small commitment — that's a clear signal DHL sees this boom lasting well beyond a single build cycle.
