Nvidia Drops $2B on Nebius to Build Massive AI Data Centers
Nvidia is pouring $2 billion into Amsterdam-based Nebius to build AI data centers targeting 5GW+ by 2030.
Nvidia just wrote a $2 billion check to Nebius Group, the Amsterdam-based infrastructure company, as part of a strategic partnership focused on AI data centers.
The deal is ambitious. The two companies plan to develop and build AI data center infrastructure capable of deploying more than 5 gigawatts of Nvidia systems by the end of 2030. For context, 5GW is an enormous amount of power — enough to run millions of homes.
This is Nvidia continuing to do what Nvidia does best: making itself indispensable across the entire AI stack. It's not just selling chips anymore. It's investing directly in the companies building the physical infrastructure to run those chips.
Nebius gets a massive capital injection and a deep partnership with the most important company in AI hardware. Nvidia gets guaranteed deployment at scale. Everyone's building data centers. Nvidia wants to be inside all of them.
