Activision Shuts Down Top Call of Duty Leaker With Legal Threat
Prominent CoD leaker TheGhostOfHope says Activision hit them with legal demands to stop sharing confidential info.
One of the most prolific Call of Duty leakers just went quiet — and not by choice.
TheGhostOfHope, a well-known X account that built a reputation dropping major Call of Duty intel before official announcements, revealed that Activision brought down the legal hammer. The company formally demanded the leaker cease all sharing of confidential information.
TheGhostOfHope says they're complying.
That's a significant loss for the CoD community, which has long relied on leakers to get early details on upcoming titles, maps, and gameplay changes. Activision has historically played whack-a-mole with leakers, but directly targeting one of the biggest names signals a more aggressive crackdown on unauthorized disclosures.
For now, at least one major pipeline of Call of Duty secrets has officially dried up.
