Reflection AI Wants $2B More at a $20B Valuation

Reflection AI is back at the fundraising table. The company, which builds open foundation models, is looking to raise over $2 billion at a valuation north of $20 billion.

That's a staggering jump. Just back in October, Reflection pulled in $2 billion at an $8 billion valuation. Now it wants to more than double that number in a matter of months.

The timing isn't random. The new funding talks are happening as the Trump administration pushes to build up American competitors to China's DeepSeek, which has been shaking up the AI landscape with its own open models.

If the round closes at these numbers, Reflection will have raised north of $4 billion total — a war chest that puts it firmly in the upper tier of AI startups racing to build foundational infrastructure.
