NORD Beefs Up Its IE5+ Motor Lineup With Bigger Frame Size
NORD expands its ultra-efficient synchronous motor range with a new 112 frame size, pushing power up to 15 hp.
NORD just dropped a new addition to its IE5+ synchronous motor lineup. The company has introduced a size 112 frame, joining the existing 71 and 90 sizes already in production.
The bigger frame matters. It extends the power range of the IE5+ line from 0.5 hp all the way up to 15.0 hp — a significant jump that opens the door to heavier-duty automation and industrial applications.
IE5+ represents the highest tier of motor efficiency currently available, sitting above the IE5 "ultra-premium" standard. For robotics and automation outfits, more efficient motors at higher power ratings mean lower energy costs and smaller thermal footprints in demanding environments.
Three frame sizes. Half a horsepower to fifteen. NORD is clearly pushing to make its top-efficiency motors viable across a much wider range of industrial use cases.
