Xiaomi's €15 Tracker Works With Both Apple and Android
Xiaomi drops a cross-platform AirTag rival and a new smartwatch in Europe ahead of MWC Barcelona.
Xiaomi just made Apple's AirTag look overpriced. The company unveiled the Xiaomi Tag in Europe at just €15 — and here's the kicker: it works with both Apple Find My and Android Find Hub. That's cross-platform tracking on the cheap.
The Tag dropped alongside a broader product blitz ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which also included the Xiaomi Watch 5 at €300 and a camera-focused flagship smartphone.
The dual-network compatibility is the real story here. Most trackers force you to pick a side. Xiaomi's approach means one tag works regardless of what phone your friends and family carry, massively expanding the crowd-finding network available to locate your stuff.
At that price point, Xiaomi is clearly betting on volume. AirTags cost roughly twice as much and only play nice with iPhones.
