OpenAI Closes Monster $110B Round at $730B Valuation
OpenAI just raised $110 billion, more than doubling its record-breaking round from a year ago.
OpenAI has locked down a jaw-dropping $110 billion funding round, valuing the company at $730 billion pre-money. That's up from the $500 billion valuation it scored during a secondary financing last October.
The round more than doubles OpenAI's previous raise, which itself was a record for a private tech company. So naturally, they smashed their own record.
The investor roster reads like a tech power summit. Amazon led the charge with a massive $50 billion commitment. Nvidia and SoftBank each threw in $30 billion. That's $110 billion from just three heavyweights.
At $730 billion, OpenAI now sits comfortably among the most valuable private companies ever — eclipsing most publicly traded firms. The sheer scale of capital flowing into AI infrastructure shows no signs of slowing down.
