eBay just can't stop trimming. The e-commerce giant is cutting approximately 800 jobs — about 6% of its full-time workforce — citing the need to align headcount with strategic priorities.
If this sounds familiar, it should. The company axed around 500 employees in early 2023, then followed up with roughly 1,000 layoffs in early 2024. That's north of 2,300 jobs eliminated in a span that would make even the most aggressive cost-cutters wince.
The ongoing reductions paint a clear picture: eBay is aggressively reshaping itself, round after round. Each wave comes with the same corporate justification — strategic alignment — but the cumulative toll on the workforce is substantial.
