DoorDash Pulls Out of Four Countries, Winds Down Deliveroo and Wolt

DoorDash is retreating from four international markets. The delivery giant announced plans to exit Qatar, Singapore, Japan, and Uzbekistan, effectively shutting down operations under both its Deliveroo and Wolt brands in those regions.

The pullback comes after a review of market conditions in each country. DoorDash will also make limited operational tweaks in other markets, though the company hasn't detailed what those changes look like.

It's a notable contraction for a company that aggressively expanded its global footprint through acquisitions. DoorDash scooped up Finland-based Wolt in 2022 and later acquired Deliveroo to deepen its international reach. Now, reality is catching up — not every market pencils out.

The exits signal DoorDash is prioritizing profitability over geographic breadth. Four fewer countries on the map, but potentially a healthier bottom line.
