Deutsche Bank Deploys Agentic AI to Police 1TB of Daily Comms

Deutsche Bank is teaming up with Google Cloud to build agentic AI systems designed to monitor a staggering 1TB of daily communications. The goal: catch market abuse and prevent data leaks across more than 40 communication channels.

Goldman Sachs is also getting in on the action, exploring agentic AI to beef up its own trading surveillance capabilities.

The scale here is noteworthy. We're talking about AI agents autonomously scanning massive volumes of trader communications in real time — emails, chats, voice, and whatever else flows through a major investment bank's pipes daily.

This is agentic AI finding a very natural home. Compliance teams at big banks have long struggled with the sheer volume of data they're required to monitor. Throwing autonomous AI agents at the problem could fundamentally change how financial surveillance operates.
