Kraken Rolls Out 24/7 Perpetual Futures on Tokenized Stocks
Crypto exchange Kraken claims to offer the first regulated perpetual futures contracts tied to tokenized U.S. stocks.
Kraken just blurred the line between crypto and traditional markets. The exchange launched what it says are the first regulated perpetual futures contracts built on tokenized stocks — available around the clock to non-US users.
The product lets traders access derivatives of tokenized U.S. stocks with up to 20x leverage, 24/7. No market close. No waiting for the bell.
It's a significant move that pulls equities deeper into crypto infrastructure. Instead of trading stocks through traditional brokerages with limited hours, users can now speculate on stock-linked derivatives the same way they'd trade Bitcoin perps — nonstop.
The contracts are restricted to international users, keeping Kraken clear of U.S. regulatory tripwires. Whether regulators elsewhere stay comfortable with 20x leveraged stock derivatives on a crypto exchange remains to be seen.
