Google Launches ProducerAI Music Platform Powered by Lyria 3

Google just dropped ProducerAI, an AI-powered music generation platform heading to Google Labs. The tool runs on a preview version of Lyria 3, the latest iteration of Google's music AI model.

ProducerAI isn't just another text-to-music toy. It lets users generate sounds, workshop lyrics, remix tracks, and more — essentially a multi-tool for music creation. Google built the platform alongside actual artists, which at least suggests some effort to keep creators in the loop rather than just replacing them.

The move slots ProducerAI into Labs, Google's testing ground for experimental products. That means it's not a full consumer launch yet — more of a public preview to gather feedback and iterate.

Google continues pushing hard into generative AI for creative work. Music is the latest frontier, and Lyria 3 is clearly the engine they're betting on.
