The commitment isn't just talk. Microsoft already unveiled $17.5 billion worth of AI investments in India during 2025, making it one of the single largest country-level bets in the company's AI push.
The scale here is staggering. Fifty billion dollars aimed at markets that have historically been underserved by big tech infrastructure buildouts. For Microsoft, it's a land grab — planting Azure and AI services deep into regions where cloud adoption is still accelerating.
Whether these markets can absorb that level of investment fast enough remains the real question.
