YouTube Finally Lands on Apple Vision Pro With 8K Support

Google's video giant arrives on Apple's headset with immersive content and 8K playback for M5-equipped devices.

YouTube Finally Lands on Apple Vision Pro With 8K Support

YouTube just dropped its official Apple Vision Pro app. Better late than never.

The app brings the full YouTube experience to Apple's spatial computing headset. We're talking standard videos, 180-degree content, 360-degree immersive videos, and yes, Shorts. All watchable on what Apple loves to call a "theater-sized screen."

Here's the kicker for early adopters: if your Vision Pro packs the M5 chip, you can stream videos in full 8K resolution. That's a serious flex for anyone who dropped $3,500 on Apple's face computer.

The timing is notable. YouTube initially refused to build a native Vision Pro app at launch, forcing users to access the platform through Safari. Google apparently had a change of heart.

The app is available starting today through the Vision Pro App Store.
