Nvidia GeForce Now Finally Gets Official Fire TV Support
Cloud gaming service drops on Amazon Fire TV sticks natively, ending the sideload workaround era.
Nvidia's GeForce Now just made life easier for Fire TV owners. The cloud gaming service now has a proper native app on select Amazon Fire TV sticks, killing the need for that janky sideloading process users had to endure before.
The specs? You're looking at up to 1080p resolution and 60 fps. Not exactly bleeding edge, but solid enough for streaming games to your TV without dedicated hardware.
This marks another platform expansion for GeForce Now as Nvidia continues pushing cloud gaming into every screen it can find. Fire TV's massive install base makes this a smart play.
The catch: that 1080p/60fps ceiling means hardcore gamers chasing 4K or higher refresh rates will need to look elsewhere. But for casual couch gaming? This gets the job done.
