Zuckerberg Eyes $200M Miami Mansion as CA Eyes Billionaire Tax
Meta's CEO is reportedly shopping for a massive Miami estate as California floats a 5% wealth tax on billionaires.
Mark Zuckerberg is apparently house hunting in Miami. The Meta CEO is eyeing a newly built mansion on Indian Creek that could run between $150 million and $200 million, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The timing is interesting. California just proposed a 5% tax specifically targeting billionaires. Zuckerberg wouldn't be the first tech titan to relocate to Florida's tax-friendly shores.
Indian Creek is basically Billionaire Island. The ultra-exclusive enclave has become a magnet for the tech elite seeking waterfront living without the California tax burden.
No official confirmation from Zuckerberg's camp yet. But if the deal closes anywhere near that price range, it would rank among the most expensive residential purchases in Florida history.
The Golden State's loss could be Miami's very expensive gain.
