Galaxy S26 Ultra: Better Cameras, Privacy Screen, Same Old Problems
Samsung's latest flagship nails its new Privacy Display but still can't shake its bulk, price tag, or missing Qi2.
Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra is here, and the headline feature actually delivers. The new Privacy Display — which limits viewing angles so strangers can't peek at your screen — works well in practice, according to The Verge's review.
The camera system gets meaningful upgrades this round, and Samsung slimmed down the design compared to the S25 Ultra. It's sleeker. It looks better.
But the familiar complaints remain. The phone is still massive. It's still expensive. And somehow, Samsung still hasn't added Qi2 magnetic charging support — a feature competitors adopted ages ago.
The S26 Ultra lands as a solid iterative upgrade for Samsung loyalists. The privacy tech is genuinely useful for anyone paranoid about shoulder surfers. Whether that's enough to justify the premium over last year's model is the real question buyers face.
