Samsung's latest ad teases a 'Zero-peeking privacy' toggle that blacks out your screen for anyone looking at an angle.

Samsung just dropped an ad for the Galaxy S26 series, and buried in it is a genuinely interesting feature. A toggle called "Zero-peeking privacy" appears to black out on-screen content for anyone trying to sneak a glance from the side.

No more shoulder surfers on the subway. The feature seemingly works by darkening the display at off-angles, effectively turning your phone into a one-viewer-only device at the flip of a switch.

Leaker Ice Universe shared video footage of the tech actually working, giving us a closer look beyond Samsung's brief ad tease.

Physical privacy screen protectors have existed for years, but baking this directly into the software — with an on/off toggle — is a slick move. Samsung's essentially making a $5 accessory obsolete with a settings switch.
